Professor Nigel Pitts – ACFF Global Chairman
Professor Nigel Pitts (FRSE BDS Ph.D FDS RCS (Eng) FDS RCS (Edin) FFGDP (UK) FFPH) has served worked within the Faculty of Dentistry, Oral & Craniofacial Sciences at King’s College London since 2013.
Alongside his work at King’s, he is the leader of the Global Collaboratory for Caries Management (GCCM) initiative and co-founder director of the ICDAS foundation.
He is also an Honorary Consultant in Dental Public Health to Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust and a Past President of the European Organisation for Caries Research (ORCA), the British Association for the Study of Community Dentistry (BASCD) and the European Association for Dental Public Health (EADPH).
Cat Mayne – ACFF Global Manager
Cat has worked with the ACFF since 2014, and heads up the Global operations of the organisation.
She is responsible for the day to day running of the charity, with her hours largely spent writing papers, balancing budgets, creating resources, liaising with Chapters and partner organisations, arranging conferences and events and putting the plans of the board and Expert Panel into action.
Thankfully, she is a huge fan of spreadsheets.
Cat will be on a period of maternity leave from February 2022
Nick Miller – Administration and Communications Officer
Nick joined the ACFF in 2021 and focuses mainly on the charity’s website, social media, communications with our members and background administration. He also manages the general enquiries that the charity receives.
Nick has worked in the charity sector for the last five years before joining the ACFF, with roles covering the breadth of charity work.
Dr Marco Mazevet – Research and Development Partner
Marco graduated from the Rennes Dental School in 2016 and is currently working with the ACFF as he completes his PhD at King’s College London. His studies focus on the economic evaluation of caries control programmes in the field of dentistry.
Marco is involved in several international dental organisations and was the 2014/15 President of the European Dental Students’ Association.
Marco has worked within a number of organisations including with the Council of European Dentists, Association for Dental Education in Europe (ADEE) and the FDI World Dental Federation. He also participates in the French Dental Association international representation.
