This week we hosted the annual ACFF Expert Panel Meeting. This meeting is usually held as a multi-day event in Washington DC, however, unfortunately for the second year in a row, the meeting was held virtually on Zoom due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. To ensure that members could attend the meeting within their hectic schedules, we divided the meeting into three short sessions spread over three days.
The ACFF Expert Panel is a team of international experts in cariology, dentistry, public health and related disciplines who are committed to realising the ACFF’s aim of creating a cavity-free future. They have driven the direction of the ACFF and guided the steps that the organisation takes since our launch in 2010, and we would like to thank them all for their continued time and commitment to aid us on our journey.
This year the meeting allowed for wide-ranging discussion covering topics including the Making Cavities History Taskforce, the ACFF Global Virtual Summit, the development of our global network of 29 Chapters and the upcoming ACFF projects, such as the Dental Policy Lab Network. As always, the insight and advice received from the Expert Panel was invaluable for developing the ACFF’s future plans, and will help the organisation continue to grow and thrive over the coming year.
The ACFF Expert Panel Members are: Mahesh Verma, Ihsane Ben Yahya, Corrie Jongbloed-Zoet, Alice Horowitz, Ari Kupietzky, Caswell Evans, Chet Douglass, Livia Tenuta, Stefania Martignon, Mikako Hayashi, Myron Allukian, Prathip Phantumvanit, Rick Niederman, Roger Ellwood, Svante Twetman, Tim Newton and Nigel Pitts.
We would like once again to say thank you to every member of the Expert Panel for the time and energy the give to the ACFF.
